Gary Ling, Director, Proposition Monetiser. As an accomplished ‘completer-finisher’ Gary’s has broad experience and a proven track record in monetising commercial propositions. As a director investor of business intelligence eCommerce websites checkSURE, successSURE and reportSURE Gary helped lead the way in delivering company credit checking and business report products to the SME retail market. Previously Gary was Strategy Director at Entranet, once the largest digital agency serving the financial sector in the UK working on such marquee digital brands as Goldfish and Tesco Finance. During the dotcom boom, Gary was eBusiness Leader with GE Capital Global Consumer Finance where delivered the world’s first online store card (Zoom.co.uk) and the first store card with rewards (Debenhams). In 1996 Gary commissioned one of the first commercial websites in the UK when he was Marketing Director for international training consultancy Time Manager International. He was educated at the at Greenwich High School, (Ct, USA), the University of Aberdeen, The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and CASS Business School, London, where he was awarded an MBA.
Stanley Lee, China Market Innovation Lead. Stanley is an international business consultant who has been active in China, Hong Kong and Malaysia since 1993. He operates out of Dongguan – the ‘world’s factory’. He has extensive knowledge of production processes and materials for a wide range of products and expertise environmental packaging and design, especially on how IP works in China to protect client’s interests. For traderSURE clients, Stan turns conceptual ideas into manufactured final products. His interests cover multiple disciplines from business intelligence, research, and shipping. Stanley is a Hong Kong citizen who was educated in the United Kingdom. Prior to setting up his own consultancy, Stanley held regional senior management positions in organizations such as the Economist, the Commonwealth Business Media, and Thomson International. Stanley's particular expertise in business and organizational reconnaissance is greatly valued by his traderSURE clients. He was the key consultant conducting the feasibility study on Hong Kong as a wine trading and distribution center for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Based on the findings and recommendations of his report, the Hong Kong Government removed wine duty in Hong Kong in February 2008, making Hong Kong the first wine duty free city in the Asia region.
Suzanne Mattera, United States Market Innovation Lead. Sue’s career in business personifies ‘entrepreneurship’, self-reliance and innovative thinking. Leaving the UK for the USA aged just 17, Sue was educated in the University of Life working several jobs in retail and professional services to survive, before becoming an owner of several businesses. She surfed the video, DVD rental market as a store owner before getting her Real Estate License and becoming a fully trained, full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant. Based in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, Sue recently oversaw the construction of several holiday cottages which she rented out as Vacation homes before selling her company and going into online retail. Her latest challenge is perfecting her online marketing skills to help traderSURE clients’. The latest online product, ‘Kid’s Paint Set’, eventually became the ‘Amazon Choice’ in its category.
Stephen Leece, Commercial Advisor. Stephen is focused on the development of emerging technologies, go-to-market strategies and industrial partnerships. His main expertise is in driving the performance, growth and profitability of B2B businesses through digital innovation and provision of next generation supply chain infrastructures. Stephen is currently working with seasoned entrepreneurs to develop a new company grouping and its go to market strategy. He is also the Consortium Director for an innovative collaboration comprising Universities, Train Operating Companies, Network Rail and specialist SMEs. As a Board Advisor he has been actively working for a scale-up in Artificial Intelligence and a start-up developing terrestrial 4/5G and satellite broadband technologies. As a former CEO of a start-up and Board Director of a scale-up business, he has very recent experience of raising capital to Series A; a combination of equity, debt and convertible loan notes. Stephen has an MBA from Henley Business College and a first degree in the Applied Sciences from the Cranfield University. As a former Army Officer with extensive experience in supply chain optimisation with a Post Graduate Degree in Advanced Urban Planning and Intelligent Mobility. He is a winner of the Innovate UK First of a Kind Award.
