Scowering various suppliers in China, we wanted to put together a paint set which would enable people to share moments of creativity while in captivity which represented good value for money. Our 29-piece art supplies set for kids and adults was an innovative combination which brought out people's artistic tendencies in group sessions (parties, stay-at-home teaching) and ended up being 'Amazon's Choice' in this category.

'The Demmy' (Working Title)

Gary Ling, traderSURE Project Lead, writes: The ‘Demmy Communicator’ has been designed from the ‘ground up’ to be the easiest phone for those cognitively impaired to use to communicate with their priority contacts. While other phone manufacturers continue to add lots of features to phones sold to those who face mental challenges, the aim of the Demmy is to make lives simpler. To aid those in assisted living, the Demmy is a phone which has reduced functionality built-in to avoid confusion. The Demmy’s simplicity of use means its core features help keep people in care homes and living on their own in touch with friends and relatives. The ease of use of the Demi makes it a go to communicator for those with limited cognitive abilities to operate the phone without assistance. The Demmy is waterproof and drop proof from up to a metre and is used by people who cannot operate buttons and systems which are deployed on traditional phones. The phone's design has been influenced by observations in care homes and the trials and tribulations of people who struggle with actions that require logical thought. The sole objective of the Demi communicator is to allow communication between a mentally challenged person and their loved ones. This is not advertised as ‘senior phone’ with just big buttons. We have made every effort to simplify the use of the phone by stripping out unnecessary functions which cognitively impaired people cannot operate, find confusing and, most of all, frustrating. The Demmy comes with wireless pad instead of a micro USB connection as its primary charging mechanism, to ensure it is readily available for use at all times it is required.
